Anonymous asked: Hey, are you okay? You haven't posted in a while

Hello! I’m not sure when your ask is from—I didn’t have a computer and my tumblr app didn’t tell me I was receiving messages, but I’ve been traveling around for the past month, soul-searching and recovering my inspiration and the like. I just got back home today and I’ll be posting art again real soon!

I just saw IAMX live at the electric ballroom and I just felt the need to mention that they were fucking beautiful. I’m totally wiped out from fangirl-screaming at Chris Corner’s every glorious action. What a man what a god *_* I have got to draw him sometime.
Good night.

London + Paris

I’m leaving for a month-long trip to London and Paris the day after tomorrow. There won’t be much art from me during that time since I’ll be leaving my computer and tablet at home, just a heads-up. I might post some pen/paper sketches here and there with my mobile though

Anyway this will be my first time in Europe and I’m more scared than excited at the moment…I’ll just be roaming around with no set plans, shopping and eating and people-watching. If anyone’s been there before and has any advice for me on stuff I should check out I’d be glad for it.

Sometimes you just need to cut those proud ones down to size.
oh don’t mind me just passing through with one of my gay vampire boys you know how it is
Mean little guy with a little shiny gun.
Sometimes you just need to see the sweet ones suffer.
Cute boots sweet knives.

So sorry for my recent inactivity (if anyone even noticed @u@).

First I was away in Tokyo for a week (which was awesome *_*), and then I was miring in a pool of self-doubt for about two weeks after that because this slump is the longest I’ve ever experienced, and not being able to draw at least one cool thing a day makes me feel like a useless waste of space. Trying my damnedest to get out of it.

Anonymous asked: do you mind sharing your brush settings?? also, do you remember by any chance where you got the texture you used on your marshall lee art ?v?

For lines I just use the basic “hard round” brush that came with my CS5 without changing any settings @u@ I use the same one to color, plus the triangle brushes I got from here: http://cghub.com/scripts/view/140/

And this is my favorite texture that I use for almost every picture I draw: http://browse.deviantart.com/art/texture-20-70066569

Funeral attire.

A while ago an anon asked me to draw a shirtless Astor…I thought about drawing a normal fanservice pic with skin and abs and stuff since that’s probably what they wanted, but instead I’m using this opportunity to show that Astor is not a real boy (sorry anon!)
Astor only has the face and general shape of a human boy. Everything below the neck is a solid black shadow—no skin, no bones, no organs. The members of his species (fiends) take shapes that are familiar to humans in order to blend into their world: animals, objects, or an odd mix of both. Astor is among the most human-like, which is pretty rare. He gets a lot of shit from other monsters for that—some of them mistake him for food.
Other humanoid-types tend to think he’s pretty cute, though. Astor may have unknowingly invaded that ghost girl’s haunting ground (her murderer’s closet, maybe) to borrow some clothes, but she certainly doesn’t seem to mind.
